EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Commission’s Chairman and CEO, Professor Abdullahi Saleh, disclosed this in Mina on Friday during a statement issued to mark the Eid al-Adha celebration.
Saleh said the first batch of return flights will include pilgrims from Imo State via Air Peace, Bauchi State via Max Air, and Kebbi and Sokoto States via Flynas. He called on the affected pilgrims to be ready for the journey back home and to pray for a successful and hitch-free return process for all.
“On behalf of NAHCON, I heartily congratulate all Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. We especially congratulate the fortunate pilgrims who witnessed the Day of Arafat. May Allah accept your prayers and sacrifices,” he stated.
The NAHCON boss used the occasion to urge Muslims to reflect on the deep spiritual lessons of Hajj, citing the unwavering trust of Hajara, the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim, and the divine blessings that followed. “Trust in Allah, obedience to leadership, and discipline are keys to building prosperous nations,” he added.
He commended Nigerian pilgrims for their orderly and disciplined conduct during the Hajj, saying it significantly eased NAHCON’s work. Saleh also expressed gratitude to the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards for their organisation and support throughout the Hajj operations.
Special recognition was also given to NAHCON staff, including those who worked while in ihram, as well as board members and ad hoc personnel for their commitment to serving the pilgrims.

He concluded by thanking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their strong support, which, he said, contributed to the smooth running of the 2025 Hajj. He assured stakeholders that the Commission remains committed to improving future Hajj operations.
