The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit in Abuja, with retail outlets now selling at ₦930 per litre, down from ₦945. The adjustment, implemented on Thursday, follows a ₦10 reduction in ex-depot prices by Dangote Refinery and major depot operators.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Checks across Abuja showed that NNPC retail stations along the Kubwa Expressway, Gwarimpa, Wuse Zone 4, Wuse Zone 6, and other locations have already effected the new pricing. Independent marketers also revised their rates in response to the latest market shift.
At Ranoil Filling Station in Gwarimpa, PMS now sells for ₦935 per litre, down from ₦940. MRS Ardova and AP Ardova outlets across the city and surrounding communities are dispensing fuel between ₦930 and ₦935 per litre.
Major depots, including Pinnacle Depot and Aiteo Depot, also reduced their ex-depot rates by at least ₦10, with prices ranging between ₦844 and ₦846 per litre on Thursday morning.

The spokesperson for the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Chinedu Ukadike, said the current trend could lead to further reductions as competition among suppliers deepens.
