The Independent National Electoral Commission has taken delivery of sensitive materials for Saturday’s Osun State governorship election at the Central Bank of Nigeria facility in Osogbo.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the materials were conveyed from Abuja in trucks and were being unloaded at the CBN premises as electoral preparations entered their final stage.

Although the distribution exercise was scheduled to commence on Thursday morning, the process had yet to begin as of 9:50pm, with officials still working on the offloading of the materials.
The delay was reportedly connected to the late addition of the Social Democratic Party candidate to the final list of contestants, which required INEC to produce fresh ballot papers.
With the inclusion of the SDP candidate, the number of contenders in the governorship race rose from 14 to 15.
The additional printing reportedly disrupted the commission’s initial timetable for transporting the sensitive materials to the various parts of the state.
Following the completion of the exercise at the CBN facility, the materials are expected to be dispatched to Osun’s 30 local government areas and subsequently delivered to designated polling locations.
The materials include ballot papers, result sheets and other electoral documents required for voting and the recording and collation of results.
The development comes just hours before Osun residents are scheduled to vote in the governorship election on August 15.
