Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have confirmed that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has officially signed all necessary documents for the upcoming national convention and sent them to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Speaking on Monday in Abuja at the party’s 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, who chairs the PDP Governors’ Forum, announced this important development. Eko Hot Blog reports.
His statement addressed previous concerns and reports that the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, was hesitant to sign the formal letter to INEC.

Mohammed also clarified why some governors were not at the meeting. He explained that the governors of Enugu, Taraba, and Plateau states were busy with other official duties, including attending a conference, handling administrative matters, and joining a federal government delegation to Brazil. He emphasized that their absence did not mean they were leaving the party.
The PDP Governors’ Forum also warned against outside attempts to cause problems for the party at the local level. They committed to supporting the NWC and other party groups to ensure a transparent and successful convention.
