Nigerian street-pop artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has urged the government to ban prank videos after being involved in an altercation at Port Harcourt International Airport on Sunday.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the singer’s call came after a viral video surfaced online showing him dressed in beige attire and confronting an unidentified individual in the midst of a chaotic crowd.

Airport security officers in blue uniforms were seen restraining him and leading him toward a waiting vehicle as onlookers recorded the incident.

The 53-second clip captured pushing, shouting, and confusion, with one person seen barefoot and another swinging what appeared to be a belt or whip. The video quickly spread across social media, sparking debates among fans and critics.
Reacting to the incident in a video posted on his Instagram page on Monday, Portable claimed he was attacked by what he called “death pranksters”—people who stage fake death scenarios to attract online views.
He said, “Those people came to prank me. They were death pranksters. It almost turned into a cultist situation. Ten yellow no fit stand one blue.”
Portable further accused pranksters and bloggers of damaging reputations for fame and urged authorities to take action. “Make government stop all those prankers and fake bloggers. Why una dey spoil person name with una platforms,” he posted.
The “Zazu Zeh” crooner, who has faced several controversies and police investigations in the past, maintained that he trusts God for protection against false narratives.
