The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has praised STL Trustees Limited for its contributions to Nigeria’s financial and capital market sector as the company celebrated its 30th anniversary in Lagos, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Represented by the Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Abayomi Oluyomi, the governor described the company as a model of professionalism, resilience and corporate integrity.

Speaking during the anniversary celebration held at The Jewel Aeida in Lekki Phase 1, Sanwo-Olu said STL Trustees has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading independent trust companies over the last three decades.
According to him, the company has played significant roles in major financial transactions across the country, including multi-billion-naira bond programmes, Sukuk issuances, estate planning, collective investment schemes and syndicated lending deals.
“Thirty years is no small milestone for any institution, particularly in an industry where success is measured not only by profit, but by credibility, consistency, and the confidence of people who entrust valuable assets and legacies into your care,” the governor said.

He further described STL Trustees as “a proud Lagos institution and a shining example of what discipline, ambition, and enterprise can achieve within the financial services sector.”
Sanwo-Olu also commended the company’s ambition to expand beyond Nigeria and become a major player in trusteeship services across Africa, especially with opportunities emerging under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The governor reiterated the commitment of the Lagos State Government to creating an enabling environment that encourages innovation, investment and the growth of institutions contributing to economic development.
The anniversary celebration attracted key stakeholders in the financial sector and featured networking sessions, entertainment and awards presented to outstanding members of staff for their dedication and excellence over the years.

Sanwo-Olu congratulated the board, management and staff of STL Trustees Limited on the milestone and urged them to remain committed to the values of trust, professionalism, innovation and quality service as the company begins another phase of growth.
