Sani Dangwaggo, a security aide to the Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has died.
Dangwaggo, a retired police officer popularly known as Sani Jaman, died on Saturday at the age of 58 after a brief illness. He passed away at a private hospital in Abuja.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that he retired from the Nigeria Police Force in early 2018 with the rank of Inspector after many years of service to the country. Colleagues and associates described him as disciplined, loyal and deeply committed to duty throughout his career in law enforcement and private security service.
Reacting to the development, Senator Wamakko expressed deep shock over the death of the security aide. The reaction was conveyed in a statement issued by the senator’s media aide, Bashar Abubakar.
The former Sokoto State governor described the late Dangwaggo as a dependable and hardworking member of his security team who discharged his responsibilities with professionalism and integrity.
“He is one of the most reliable security personnel I have ever worked with. He was honest, and he loved and respected his job,” the senator said.
Senator Wamakko also offered prayers for the repose of the deceased’s soul, asking Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant strength and comfort to his family at this difficult time.
Sani Dangwaggo is survived by two wives, seven children and his aged mother, Hajiya Safiya.
Family sources disclosed that details of his funeral prayer would be announced later in accordance with Islamic rites.
