Amadu, who headed a gang involved in kidnapping, cattle rustling, and armed robbery across Malafiya and neighbouring communities, was on the list of most-wanted suspects by security agencies.
Troops reportedly launched the mission on Sunday with the goal of arresting gang members, which escalated into a gun battle. During the exchange of fire, Amadu attempted to escape but was neutralised by security personnel.

A locally fabricated pistol was recovered at the scene, and calm has since returned to the area. Security forces have stepped up patrols to prevent further attacks or the regrouping of criminal elements.
