The exercise, which took place at the National Assembly complex in Abuja, was conducted under tight security. Lawmakers held both open and closed-door sessions to assess the nominees’ credentials and readiness for the nation’s top military positions.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who presided over the session, emphasized that the screening was a constitutional duty meant to ensure only capable and patriotic officers are entrusted with safeguarding the country.
