While the exact circumstances leading to the discharge of the firearm remain murky, sources indicate that the content creator was in the middle of a production when the injury occurred.
According to a police source, Broda Shaggi’s crew acted swiftly, rushing him to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos State for emergency stabilization.
Medical staff at the facility reportedly provided essential first aid before recommending his transfer.
Further investigations revealed that the influencer is currently recuperating at the Duchess Hospital in the Government Residential Area, Ikeja, where he is receiving specialized treatment for an injury to his thigh.

The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that detectives were mobilized to the hospital after receiving a mandatory notification regarding a gunshot patient.
“He was seen on a stretcher with an injury to his thigh,” Adebisi stated, noting that while the shooting occurred in Ogun State, outside their primary jurisdiction, they are monitoring the situation.
Conversely, the Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, remarked that as of Thursday, no formal report of the shooting had been lodged at any station within the state.
The silence from Broda Shaggi’s immediate circle has added to the tension.
His manager, Olufemi Oguntamu, popularly known as Penzaar, has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the comedian’s current condition or the identity of the person who fired the shot.
Fans have taken to social media to express their shock and offer prayers for a speedy recovery, drawing parallels to a similar incident in October 2024 involving another content creator, Salo, who was shot during a robbery in Lekki.
As the investigation continues, questions are being raised about safety protocols on skit sets, particularly when involving prop weapons or filming in high-traffic public areas like Sango-Ota.
For now, the focus remains on Perry’s recovery as the industry awaits an official statement from his management team.
