Nigeria First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has called upon Nigerians living abroad to increase their commitment to the development and well-being of their home country, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Speaking during a meeting with Dr. Phillips Ozuah, President and CEO of Montefiore Medicine, at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized the importance of Nigerians in the diaspora contributing their expertise and resources to support ongoing efforts to rebuild Nigeria.

According to a release by her spokesperson, Busola Kukoyi, the First Lady said:
“We are proud that a Nigerian is doing so well in the US. It is a good thing that you have also looked back and helped your alma Mata, University College Hospital, Ibadan.
“For you to look back home, starting with education is a great thing indeed. For us through the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, we are doing a lot in the area of education.”
Tinubu emphasized the importance of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) in advancing health and education in Nigeria. She thanked Dr. Phillips Ozuah for his dedication to promoting the well-being of Nigerians, both at home and abroad.
Tinubu highlighted the RHI’s focus on maternal and child health, as well as its efforts to improve education in the country.
In response, Dr. Ozuah praised the First Lady for her relentless advocacy and commended her for the impactful interventions made by the RHI in the areas of health and education.
Expressing his admiration for her work, he stated that he looked forward to collaborating with the initiative to benefit more women and children in Nigeria.
