Bola Tinubu has reacted with sorrow to the killing of troops from the 29 Task Force Brigade of Operation HADIN KAI following a coordinated terrorist strike on their base in Benisheikh, Borno State.
In a message released through his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President extended his sympathies to the armed forces and to the families of the slain soldiers, urging them to remain steadfast despite the painful loss, Eko Hot Blog reports.

The Defence Headquarters disclosed that the incident occurred early Thursday when insurgents launched an assault on the military facility. Troops on ground, however, resisted the attack and forced the assailants to withdraw.

According to the military, the soldiers demonstrated strong resolve and combat effectiveness in defending the base, preventing the attackers from gaining control.
Despite repelling the offensive, casualties were recorded among the troops, though specific details about those who died were not made public.
