A UK-based lawyer, Dele Olawanle, has reported that two Nigerian women in the UK might face deportation after calling the police on their spouses to exploit public funds.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that in the case he cited, the two women reported issues with their spouses last year. Following the incident, they became separated, and one even secured a council house in Leeds.
However, they have now been told to obtain a new Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) or leave the country, marking an end to what the lawyer described as “freebies.”
Olawanle remarked that these women now find themselves having to seek support from their estranged spouses, warning that those who try this tactic might soon learn a hard lesson.
Social media reactions followed quickly.
