Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian forces have carried out a strike on what he described as one of Russia’s most significant military production facilities.
According to the Ukrainian president, the targeted factory manufactures electronic systems and other components used in Russian missiles, weapons that have frequently been used in attacks on Ukrainian towns, villages, and civilians, Eko Hot Blog gathered.

Ukraine’s military said the facility hit was the Kremniy El plant, located in the border region of Bryansk. The strike reportedly involved the use of Storm Shadow missiles supplied by the United Kingdom.

Russian officials reported casualties from the attack, saying at least six civilians were killed and 42 others injured. Authorities described the incident as a “terrorist missile strike.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed the missiles could not have been launched without assistance from British specialists. He argued the attack justified Moscow’s ongoing military campaign in Ukraine.
Peskov said the operation, which Russia refers to as a “special military operation”, is intended to stop what he described as hostile actions by the government in Ukraine.
One of its main objectives, according to Moscow, is the demilitarisation of Ukraine, a goal repeatedly emphasized by Vladimir Putin since ordering the invasion in February 2022.
However, Ukraine’s Western partners have continued to provide military assistance since the start of the conflict, including advanced weapons systems aimed at helping Kyiv defend its territory.
Russia has also received support from allies. Its forces have used Shahed drones supplied by Iran, while North Korea has reportedly provided troops.
Ukranian authorities said one such drone strike killed two people and wounded five others in Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city, on Wednesday.

Another Russian attack the previous day in Slovyansk in eastern Ukraine left four people dead and 16 injured.
Despite the heavy fighting, the conflict has recently shown signs of stalemate. Russian forces have made gradual territorial gains, while Ukraine says its troops are also reclaiming some areas previously captured by Russian forces.
Zelensky indicated that a new round of negotiations involving Russian and American representatives could take place next week.
The diplomatic effort is being led by Donald Trump, who has been pushing for a resolution to the war.

One controversial proposal under discussion involves Ukraine potentially conceding territories in the Donbas region, a key industrial area made up of Donetsk and Luhansk.
Russian forces currently control more than 80% of those territories. Ukraine, however, maintains that it cannot agree to permanently give up the region.
