Eko Hot Blog reports that the initiative is designed to equip participants with practical leadership skills, promote civic responsibility, and empower young individuals to drive meaningful change within their communities.
According to the organisers, the programme targets passionate and forward-thinking youths who are eager to grow, serve, and make lasting impact.
“This programme is about raising a new generation of leaders who are not only equipped with knowledge but are also ready to take action in their communities,” an official from the academy stated.
Eligible participants must be residents within the host community, aged between 20 and 30 years, and either entrepreneurs or graduates with at least an Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, a representative of the local government highlighted its role in shaping future leaders.
“We believe the future of our communities lies in the hands of our young people. This programme will give them the tools, exposure, and confidence needed to lead effectively and responsibly,” the representative said.
With limited slots available, interested youths have been encouraged to register early to secure participation.
“YOU-LEAD is not just a training; it is a movement to inspire, empower, and transform young minds into catalysts of development,” the statement added.
The programme is expected to strengthen youth participation in leadership, governance, and community development.
