AMVCA: Celebrating Excellence in African Film and Television
  • The 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) took place on May 11, 2024, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos State, Nigeria
  • Top contenders include “Over the Bridge” with 12 nominations, “Mami Wata” with 11 nominations, and “Breath of Life” and “Jagun Jagun – The Warrior” with 10 nominations each.
  •  AMVCA Winners announced so far include categories such as Best Makeup, Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Writing TV Series, and Best Writing in a Movie.

 

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) in line, with winners eagerly accepting their awards at the Eko Hotel.

EDITOR’S PICK 

This year’s top contenders include “Over the Bridge,” which has received 12 nominations in categories such as Best Movie, Best Director, and Best Lead Actress, as well as the black-and-white fantasy thriller “Mami Wata,” which has received 11 nominations.

Additionally, “Breath of Life” and “Jagun Jagun – The Warrior” are strong contenders, each with 10 nominations.
