Eco Africa Team showcased determination and early dominance as they faced Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, on Friday, 21st November 2025, in a high-intensity football match at the AUI Sports Quadrangle.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the visitors began the game strongly, taking an early lead in the first half and doubling their advantage before the break. Their sharp attacking play and solid midfield control placed the home team under pressure throughout the opening period.

Speaking after the match, the Eco Africa Team Coach praised his players’ early performance, saying, “We started very well and took our chances. The first half showed the quality and discipline we’ve been working on.”
Despite Eco Africa’s strong hold on the game, Augustine University mounted a spirited comeback in the second half. Strategic substitutions from the home side injected pace and creativity into their attack, allowing them to pull one goal back late in regulation time.
An Eco Africa defender reflected on the final minutes, noting, “They came at us with everything. We tried to hold the line, but sometimes football gives you moments you can’t fully control.”
With four minutes added, Augustine University found the equaliser, closing the match at 2-2 in an electrifying finish.
Eco Africa’s goalkeeper, who made several crucial saves, remained positive about the outcome, stating, “A draw away from home is still a good result. We’ll build on this and come back stronger.”
