Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, urged Nigerians to live in unity and love one another, regardless of tribe or political affiliation.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Obi made the appeal after visiting former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja. He announced the visit to Obasanjo on his X handle.

In Ibadan, Obi paid homage to Oba Ladoja at his private residence, accompanied by the 2023 Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko.
Obi told reporters that Ibadan is crucial to the nation’s political, social, and economic development. He also expressed confidence that Oba Ladoja’s experience as a former Senator, Governor, and business tycoon will lead Ibadan to an “enviable position.”
In response, Oba Ladoja thanked his visitors and emphasized that his selection as the new Olubadan is a fresh opportunity to serve the people. He lamented that many people have a wrong perception of the throne, believing it to be for “glamour and fun.”
The Olubadan-designate stressed that the time for glamour has passed and that the throne is now about “service.”
