EKO HOT BLOG reports that the President’s message was conveyed in a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu celebrated with the former Rivers State governor, thanking God for what he described as a life marked by purpose, service, courage, and visible results in public office.
The President described Wike as an audacious and result driven leader who continues to deliver despite challenges, noting that his performance in the Federal Capital Territory has stood out within the current administration.
Tinubu specifically referenced the ongoing transformation of Abuja through road construction and other infrastructure projects, highlighting Wike’s role in resolving the long delayed Apo Karshi road project, which had stalled for about 14 years.
He also commended the Minister’s resilience, determination, and commitment to excellence, saying these qualities have reflected clearly in the execution of key assignments entrusted to him.
The President praised Wike for remaining focused on delivering tangible results, regardless of political differences, and acknowledged his role as a strong contributor to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.
“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party and wish him well as he marks another year in his life journey,” the President added.

Tinubu concluded by wishing the FCT Minister a happy birthday and renewed strength to sustain the pace of development in the nation’s capital.
