The Lagos State Government has announced a temporary restriction of vehicular movement on parts of Lagos Island to facilitate the 7th Road Edition of the Lagos Autofest 2025 Race, scheduled for Sunday, December 21.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement released by the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, motorists were informed that Inner Marina, Marina Road and Kakawa Street will be closed to traffic between 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm on the day of the event.

Osiyemi explained that the race will begin at Marina Road by UBA, pass through Kakawa Street, Balabina Street, Broad Street and Issah Williams Street, before concluding at Inner Marina.
He noted that all intersections and junctions along the route will be secured with road barriers to guarantee the safety of racers, officials and spectators.

The commissioner appealed to road users to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with traffic management officials.
He assured the public that officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Lagos State Neighbourhood Corps will be fully deployed to control traffic flow, maintain public order and reduce inconvenience during the event.
