The Member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Wale Raji, has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the passing of High Chief Tajudeen Oriyomi Ayeola, the Arobayo of Epe Land, describing his death as a monumental loss to Epe Land, Lagos State, Nigeria, and the African continent.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a condolence message, Rep. Raji described the late Arobayo as a towering statesman, bridge-builder, and global cooperative icon whose influence transcended borders through decades of dedicated service to humanity and cooperative development.

“It is with profound shock, deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I received the devastating news of the passing of High Chief Tajudeen Oriyomi Ayeola,” the lawmaker said, noting that the deceased’s contributions as
Vice President of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) Global, President of ICA Africa, and President of the Cooperative Federation of Nigeria placed him among Africa’s most respected cooperative leaders.
Rep. Raji extended heartfelt condolences, on behalf of himself and the people of Epe Federal Constituency, to His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe Land,
the entire Epe Division traditional institution, the cooperative movement, the people of Okunraiye, and particularly the Ayeola family, on what he described as an irreparable loss.
According to him, High Chief Ayeola lived a life defined by humility, service, and uncommon dedication to community advancement, leaving enduring legacies in governance and cooperative development.
“As we submit to the will of Almighty Allah, I pray that Allah (SWT) grants the departed Al-Jannah Firdaus, forgives his shortcomings and rewards his good deeds,”
Rep. Raji prayed, while also asking Allah to grant the royal father, the bereaved family, associates, and the entire Epe Land the fortitude to bear the great loss.
High Chief Tajudeen Oriyomi Ayeola passed on Thursday, 25th December, 2025, and was laid to rest the same day in accordance with Islamic rites.
Rep. Raji noted that although the revered leader has returned to his Creator, his legacy of visionary leadership and service to humanity will continue to live on.
“Adieu, Arobayo of Epe Land. You lived well, you served excellently, and you will be greatly missed,” the lawmaker concluded.
