Three women have been charged before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged conspiracy and theft.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the defendants are Egbeyemi Mary, 26; Adejoke Adeleye, 21; and Awe Sumisola, 24.

They are facing two counts of conspiracy and stealing and each pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Insp. Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants committed the alleged offences in December 2025 while working as salesgirls for Mrs Atoun Olubunmi’s kitchen utensils store. He alleged that they conspired to steal goods worth ₦7 million belonging to their employer.

The women were arrested following a police investigation, and the offences contravene sections 302(1)(a) and 421 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
Chief Magistrate Mr Abayomi Adeosun granted the defendants bail of ₦250,000 each, with two sureties each in the same sum. The case was adjourned to February 27, 2026, for hearing.
