“Lagos is alive to its responsibility. The Nigerian Air Force and the Lagos State Government have enjoyed a long-standing partnership,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“There are strategic installations and facilities of the Air Force in Lagos, and we will continue to ensure they are fully protected. We are pleased with the level of relationship we currently enjoy, and we will continue to lead and provide the necessary support.”

Earlier, Air Marshal Aneke praised Governor Sanwo-Olu for what he described as purposeful transformation and visionary leadership in Lagos State.
He said the Nigerian Air Force remains open and willing to deepen collaboration with the Lagos State Government to further strengthen security in the state and the country at large.
“The Nigerian Air Force and Lagos share a long-standing relationship. Lagos is one of our earliest and most important Air Force bases,” Aneke said.
“We cannot come and go without acknowledging the remarkable support and progress we have witnessed. On behalf of the Nigerian Air Force, officers and personnel, I want to thank you for the strategic and visionary leadership you have provided.”
He noted that the state’s visible infrastructure development, transportation systems and overall urban transformation reflect effective governance.
“Seeing is believing. You cannot hide good work. Lagos is clearly the heartbeat of Nigeria. If it is not Lagos, it is nowhere,” he added.
Aneke expressed confidence that the enduring partnership between the Nigerian Air Force and Lagos State would continue to deliver positive outcomes for national security and development.
