Eko Hot Blog reports that the Federation of Epe Division Students’ Association (FEDSA) National Body has successfully hosted its annual Ramadan Lecture, bringing together students, community leaders, and key stakeholders from across Epe Division for a moment of spiritual reflection, intellectual engagement, and communal unity.

The event commenced with an opening prayer offered by Comr. Kadri Usman, setting a solemn tone for the gathering, followed by the first stanza of the national anthem which reinforced a sense of patriotism and collective identity among participants.
A major highlight of the event was the recognition and invitation of distinguished guests to the high table. Among them was the first keynote speaker, Morufudeen Adeniyi Shittu, who was ably represented by Mustapha Shittu. Also present at the event was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Technical and Vocational Education Matters, Giwa Muritala Omolola-Moore.
The Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, was represented by Mr. Bala Adebanjo.
Other notable personalities in attendance included the second keynote speaker, Abdulkareem Yusuf, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Eredo LCDA Chapter, Comr. Adekunle, the Public Relations Officer of the council’s Epe Local Government chapter, Comr. Edu Adam, and Comr. Odufuwa Idris.
Delivering the welcome address, the President of FEDSA National, Asorobi Kazeem Damilare, expressed appreciation to guests, speakers, and participants for honouring the invitation. He emphasized that Ramadan remains a period of reflection, discipline, and moral development.
“Ramadan teaches us discipline, patience, and the importance of moral responsibility. As students and future leaders, we must uphold integrity, unity, and service to society.”
The first keynote message, delivered by Sheikh Mustapha Shittu on behalf of Prof. Morufudeen Adeniyi Shittu, highlighted the spiritual significance of Ramadan and the importance of aligning faith with responsible leadership and societal development.
The second lecture was presented by Engr. Abdulkareem Yusuf, who urged young people to actively contribute to nation building through academic excellence, moral discipline, and dedication to community service.
“Youth must combine knowledge with character. When education is guided by strong moral values, it produces leaders capable of transforming society.”
Following the lectures, Comr. Odufuwa Idris delivered a vote of appreciation on behalf of the organizers, thanking the keynote speakers for their impactful messages and guidance to the students.
The programme concluded with a closing prayer offered by the Vice President of FEDSA National, Comr. Onoshokun Monsurudeen, bringing to an end a spiritually uplifting and intellectually engaging gathering.
The Ramadan Lecture once again reaffirmed the commitment of the Federation of Epe Division Students’ Association to promoting moral values, youth empowerment, and community development within Epe Division and beyond.
