EKO HOT BLOG reports that Adelabu assured citizens that urgent measures are being implemented to stabilise electricity supply, expressing confidence that improvements will be noticeable in the coming weeks.
The apology comes amid worsening concerns over erratic power supply and fears of a potential nationwide blackout. Industry challenges have deepened following a reduction in gas supply to thermal power plants, significantly limiting electricity generation across the country.
Earlier in March, the Nigerian Independent System Operator confirmed a sharp drop in power generation on the national grid. The operator disclosed that several power plants were forced to shut down due to inadequate gas supply.
According to the agency, electricity output had already fallen below expected capacity as a result of persistent constraints affecting thermal power stations.
The development has heightened pressure on the power sector, with households and businesses grappling with increased energy costs and unreliable supply.

Adelabu maintained that the Federal Government is working to resolve the challenges, particularly in gas supply, to restore stability to the grid.
Further details are expected as authorities continue to address the situation.
