Thousands of residents of Bayelsa State turned out on Saturday as Bola Ahmed Tinubu commissioned key infrastructure projects expected to improve daily life and boost economic activities in the state.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the projects include a 60-megawatt gas-powered turbine, as well as major road networks linking several communities, aimed at easing movement, reducing travel time, and supporting local businesses.

The President, who was joined by former President Goodluck Jonathan, said the developments would play a vital role in powering industries, creating opportunities, and improving livelihoods.

Residents expressed optimism that the new infrastructure would address long-standing challenges, particularly in transportation and electricity supply.
Speaking at the event, Governor Douye Diri said the projects would open up communities, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for the people.
He highlighted the completion of the Angiama–Oporoma Bridge, noting that it would benefit over 60 communities by improving access and lowering transportation costs.
Tinubu acknowledged the economic difficulties facing Nigerians but assured that ongoing reforms and investments were aimed at easing the burden on citizens.
He also reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening security and supporting the armed forces in tackling insurgency.

For many residents, the projects represent renewed hope, with expectations that improved infrastructure will bring lasting development and better living conditions across the state.
