A roadside hawker has lost his life in a tragic road accident in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed that the incident involved a Lexus Jeep with registration number SMK 674 HY.

The victim, an adult male, was said to have died on the spot.
In a statement released on Sunday, LASTMA spokesperson Adebayo Taofiq said officials responded quickly after receiving a distress call. They secured the scene and evacuated the body from the road.
Police officers from the Ketu Division later moved the remains to the Badagry Mortuary.

In a separate incident, LASTMA also rescued seven passengers who were injured in a collision at the Ogudu inward toll gate.
The crash involved a Mazda commercial bus and a Lexus Jeep. Emergency responders, including the Lagos State Ambulance Service and police operatives, arrived promptly and took the injured victims to nearby hospitals for treatment.
LASTMA said all vehicles involved in both accidents have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
The agency’s General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, advised motorists to obey traffic rules, maintain safe speeds, and remain cautious, especially at night.
