An angry mob on Friday night reportedly burnt three suspects linked to the killing of a traditional ruler in Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Eyewitnesses told Daily Post that the suspects were set ablaze after allegedly confessing to the murder of the traditional ruler of Kwallak community, identified as Ponzhi Kwallak.
The monarch was reportedly killed on Thursday night when armed assailants stormed his residence, attacking him and stealing his motorcycle, mobile phone, and other valuables.
The incident triggered tension in the community, prompting a search for those responsible.
According to reports, the suspects were arrested while attempting to sell the stolen motorcycle. During interrogation, they allegedly confessed to the crime.
A resident said community members initially tried to hand the suspects over to security operatives, but a larger group of hoodlums overpowered them and set the suspects on fire near the Council Secretariat.
The resident said, “Members of the community caught the suspects where they wanted to sell the motorcycle and they confessed to the crime, before the angry mob descended on them and burnt them.”

As of the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Alfred Alabo, had not issued any official statement on the incident.
