Councilors from the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government have paid a solidarity visit to Hon. Bayo Balogun (Prince), Member of the House of Representatives, at his National Assembly office in Abuja, where they formally presented his Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms for the 2027 re-election bid.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the delegation, led by the House Leader, Hon. Olayinka Mojeed, comprised key members of the legislative arm, including the Deputy Leader, Hon. Musibau Suwaib; Majority Leader, Hon. Eletu Zainob; Chief Whip, Hon. Lawal Sebiu Alaba; Hon. Ogungbo Nurudeen Babatunde; and Hon. Aromire Rasaki.

Speaking during the visit, the councilors reaffirmed their collective support for the lawmaker, citing his performance and commitment to effective representation as reasons behind their decision.
“We are here to demonstrate our unwavering support for Hon. Bayo Balogun and to encourage him to continue the good work he has been doing for the people of Ibeju-Lekki,” a member of the delegation stated.
Hon. Bayo Balogun, who currently represents the Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), is expected to seek re-election in the 2027 general elections.
In his response, the lawmaker expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a strong vote of confidence in his leadership.
“I am deeply honoured by this show of solidarity. It strengthens my resolve to continue delivering quality representation and impactful projects for our people,” he said.
The visit underscores growing political alignment within the constituency, as stakeholders rally around the lawmaker in anticipation of the next electoral cycle.
