Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare, the governor urged civil servants to remain dedicated to their duties, promising that the government would continue to prioritise their interests.
He further pledged to settle outstanding gratuities and death benefits owed to retirees, revealing that his administration had already paid ₦32 billion out of the ₦48 billion liabilities inherited from the previous government.
He assured that the remaining ₦16 billion would be cleared before the end of his tenure in 2027.

However, he called for urgent action to resolve disparities between the salaries of state and local government workers.
Inuwa also urged the government to ensure a transparent investigation into the alleged deductions and to recover the funds if the claims are confirmed.
