EKO HOT BLOG reports the Caribbean side booked their place in the final with goals from Courtney Clarke and Kaheim Dixon, setting up a repeat of last year’s showdown with Nigeria.
Jamaica started strongly and opened the scoring early in the eighth minute when Clarke finished a quick counterattack past Indian goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh.
The Reggae Boyz maintained control of the match and created several chances before halftime, but Gurpreet produced key saves to prevent further damage.
India showed improvement in the second half and briefly thought they had equalised through Chhangte, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Jamaica eventually sealed their victory late in the game when Dixon finished clinically to secure a 2-0 win and confirm their place in the final.
The result sets up a highly anticipated clash between Jamaica and Nigeria, who defeated Zimbabwe 2-0 earlier in the week thanks to a brace from debutant Femi Azeez.
Nigeria’s performance against Zimbabwe was mixed, but Azeez impressed on his first appearance for the national team, scoring twice and delivering a standout display.
Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle also handed debuts to Arthur Okonkwo, Obinna Igboke and Chibueze Oputa, all of whom delivered solid performances.
The final is expected to be tightly contested, with both teams familiar with each other from previous Unity Cup encounters.
Jamaica will once again look to their pace and counterattacking strength, even though they are without Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey, whose creativity is a major part of their attacking threat.

Nigeria, meanwhile, are expected to improve their performance after Chelle admitted the team did not fully execute instructions in their semifinal win over Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles have historically had the upper hand over Jamaica in Unity Cup meetings and will aim to continue that dominance while targeting another tournament title.
This year’s competition also carries added significance after receiving FIFA Tier 1 recognition, meaning results will impact global rankings.
Nigeria, currently ranked 26th in the world and third in Africa, could gain valuable ranking points with a victory in Saturday’s final.
