Reflecting on seven years in office, the governor said the journey began with a commitment to build a Greater Lagos and deliver sustainable development across critical sectors of the economy.
“Seven years ago, we began this journey with a clear vision to build a Greater Lagos that works for all. Today, I salute every Lagosian for the trust, patience, and partnership you have shown,” he said.
According to him, residents’ support has played a crucial role in the implementation of major projects and reforms across infrastructure, healthcare, education, transportation, youth development, and urban renewal.
“Your support has been the bedrock of every milestone we have achieved, from improved infrastructure and healthcare, to education reforms, urban mass transport systems, youth empowerment, and urban renewal projects across the five divisions of our state,” the governor stated.
Sanwo-Olu noted that despite global and domestic challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and economic disruptions, his administration remained focused on delivering the objectives of the THEMES+ development agenda.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to completing ongoing projects while also initiating new programmes aimed at improving the quality of life of Lagos residents.
“As we mark this seventh anniversary, I want to assure Lagosians that the best is yet to come. We will not rest on our oars. We will do more in providing quality roads, affordable housing, reliable healthcare, world-class education, and a secure environment where businesses can thrive,” he said.
He urged residents to continue supporting government initiatives designed to promote sustainable development and improve public welfare.
Sanwo-Olu also called on the private sector and development partners to deepen collaboration with the state government in advancing Lagos’ growth and development agenda.

The governor commended President Bola Tinubu for providing leadership through the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said has positively impacted Lagos in key sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, education, and empowerment.
He added that his administration had recently presented a comprehensive account of its stewardship through a series of ministerial press briefings held over the last month.
“All our modest achievements in the past years have been presented to the good people of Lagos,” he stated.
Sanwo-Olu concluded by appreciating civil servants, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders, members and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as other critical stakeholders, for their contributions to the progress and development of Lagos State over the last seven years.
