INEC Begins Osun Results Upload, 402 Polling Unit Results Now on IReV
Collation continued across the state’s 30 Local Government Areas

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has commenced the uploading of results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal, IReV.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that as of 4:03pm, 402 polling unit results had been uploaded out of the 3,763 expected results, representing 10.68 per cent of the total.

Data on the IReV portal showed that the latest upload, as of 4:03:10pm, came from Polling Unit 29/02/04/006, as collation continued across the state’s 30 Local Government Areas.

The election is being closely monitored on the portal by voters, political parties and election observers, with INEC’s electronic results system designed to allow polling unit results to be viewed as they are uploaded.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party is seeking re-election against All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate Bola Oyebamiji, African Democratic Congress, ADC, candidate Najeem Salaam and other candidates in the election.

The commission’s Result Stats section showed figures updating as additional polling unit results were uploaded.

With only 10.68 per cent of the expected results uploaded as of 4:03pm, the process remained at an early stage, with more results expected to appear on the portal as sorting, counting and collation continue across the state.
