Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining reforms and rolling out more development projects, while also seeking stronger partnerships with organisations and individuals to secure long-term growth for the state.

Represented by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr Bunmi Jenyo, Adeleke praised ODA for its consistent contributions to Osun’s development and expressed the state government’s willingness to collaborate with the association on initiatives that align with its growth agenda.

According to the governor, the state has made notable progress in road rehabilitation, school renewal, health facility upgrades and social intervention programmes. He added that the regular payment of salaries and pensions has helped restore confidence and dignity in the public service.
“These milestones reflect our resolve to rebuild trust and lay a strong foundation for sustainable development. However, we are not resting on our achievements, as more projects and reforms are already underway,” he said.
Adeleke stressed that his administration remains focused on youth empowerment, community development and attracting investments capable of generating jobs and improving the living standards of residents.

Commending ODA’s plan to construct a permanent secretariat, the governor described the initiative as a reflection of the association’s long-term vision, noting that the facility would serve as a hub for coordination, dialogue, planning and partnerships.
Earlier, a foundation member of ODA and former Registrar of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, Prof Olu Aina, applauded members of the association for their dedication to Osun’s progress and pledged his support for the success of the projects.
In his remarks, ODA Chairman, Dr Segun Aina, disclosed that the association plans to empower more than 5,000 teachers across the state through structured training programmes. He also revealed plans to establish an industrial park to enable private business owners set up operations in Osun.
Aina called on the state government to support the initiative by providing land for the proposed industrial parks, noting that the project would stimulate economic growth, attract investors and boost commerce and industry in the state.

He added that improving teachers’ capacity through quality training would translate to better classroom delivery and improved student performance in both internal and external examinations.
The Osun Development Association, led by Dr Segun Aina, an internationally recognised fintech ecosystem builder, is a non-governmental and independent body focused on promoting development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of Osun residents.
The association has previously intervened in the education, health and economic sectors of the state.
Recall that The PUNCH reported on November 10, 2025, that ODA unveiled plans to host its maiden Osun Development Summit themed, “Developing a Sustainable Blueprint for Sub-National Development through Public-Private Sector Synergy,” aimed at outlining pathways for Osun’s social, economic and political advancement.
