Amorim stated on Wednesday that while he believes his team would improve with Rashford, the player has not met the high standards required of his squad.
Rashford’s representatives have met with several top European clubs in recent weeks to explore potential interest.
As Monday’s 23:00 GMT deadline approaches, sources confirm that Rashford’s future remains uncertain, with considerable Premier League and international interest in the forward.
While it’s still possible he could remain at United, a loan move appears the most likely outcome at this stage.

Villa are one of the clubs keen on the England international, although it’s unclear whether formal talks have taken place with United or if Rashford is willing to make the move.
Villa do have the appeal of offering Champions League football in March, following their top-eight finish in the league, but Barcelona, another potential suitor, also offers the same.

Reports suggest Barcelona is Rashford’s preferred destination, though there is no clarity on whether they can strike a deal.
A crucial factor in any potential move will be Rashford’s wages, which exceed £300,000 a week at United. With cost-cutting measures in place, United’s executives will be mindful of the financial implications of any transfer, whether permanent or on loan.
