At least 17 members of the House of Representatives have switched allegiance from the African Democratic Congress to the Nigerian Democratic Congress.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the defections were formally announced during Tuesday’s plenary session.

In a separate move, lawmaker Leke Abejide also left the ADC to join the All Progressives Congress.
Those who crossed over to the NDC include Yusuf Datti, Uchenna Okonkwo, Adamu Wakili, Thaddeus Attah, George Ozodinobi, Lilian Orogbu, Oluwaseyi Sowunmi, Peter Aniekwe, Mukhtar Zakari, George Oluwande, Munachim Umezuruike, Emeka Idu, Jesse Onuakalusi, Ifeanyi Uzokwe, Afam Ogene, and Abdulhakeem Ado.
