Professor Onibon, a respected academic and spiritual guide, delivered a poignant address, expressing deep concern over the growing spiritual apathy and disconnection from God’s purpose.
He highlighted that while God has endowed humanity with everything necessary for a peaceful and fulfilling life, many have neglected these blessings, leading to widespread unrest and dissatisfaction.
“We have all turned away from God, forgetting that He sent us into this world for a purpose,” Professor Onibon lamented.
He also criticized the diminishing sincerity among spiritual leaders, noting that many fail to serve God with their whole hearts.
“Many ask for forgiveness today, only to return to the same misdeeds tomorrow,” he remarked.
He urged everyone to seek genuine repentance, help the needy to the best of their abilities, and fully commit to serving God as required.
Hon. Duke Olabode Gabadeen, in his address, expanded on this theme by underscoring the importance of not only prayer but also action in addressing Nigeria’s challenges.
He passionately argued that Nigeria is blessed with abundant natural resources, more than enough to cater to the needs of its citizens.

However, the nation’s struggles are exacerbated by a lack of love, selfishness, and pride, which have created a false sense of scarcity and division.
“We have everything we need, yet we live as if we have nothing,” he said.
Garbadeen also wondered why countries who are less blessed compared to Nigeria and those who are even benefiting from our resources appear better off than the nation itself.
He called on everyone to be prayerful and ask for divine guidance for the nation’s leaders, while also urging individuals to take responsibility for their actions and contribute positively to their communities.
The event featured passionate prayers, heartfelt testimonials, and a shared sense of urgency among attendees to take meaningful steps towards spiritual renewal and national development.
Attendees were reminded that prayer, while powerful, must be accompanied by genuine repentance and actionable steps to address societal issues.
The gathering concluded with a collective prayer for Nigeria’s leaders, the unity of the nation, and the well-being of its people.
This powerful session left a lasting impression on all present, reinforcing the idea that true change begins with individual and collective efforts to align with divine purpose, support one another, and work towards the common good.
