Ibadin noted that 17 of the 18 arrested individuals are non-indigenes of Edo State. He reassured residents of the government’s commitment to ensuring security, especially ahead of the farming season. He further pledged that the ESSC would intensify efforts to rid the state of criminal activities.

“While patrolling Benin-Auchi Road near Eguedion Camp, close to a military checkpoint, my men spotted two armed individuals. As soon as they saw us, they ran. They were pursued to a camp where 18 suspects were arrested,” Ibadin stated.

He added, “Our men will continue combing the forests and sensitizing locals to keep Edo’s farmlands free from criminals. The state remains safe for all.”

During the handover of the suspects to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Agbede, Ibadin emphasized the need for stronger collaboration among security agencies to tackle crime effectively.
