Eredo Council Chair Hosts Ramadan Tafsir, Chief Imam Urges Muslims To Seek Allah’s Pleasure

The Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, on Friday, March 14, 2025, hosted a special Ramadan Tafsir session at the Odo-Egiri Central Mosque, alongside four other devoted Muslims, as part of efforts to support and uplift the Muslim community during the Holy Month.
Ekohotblog reports that the well-attended spiritual gathering provided an opportunity for reflection, prayers, and communal bonding among Muslims in the area, with key Islamic leaders delivering heartfelt messages of faith, repentance, and charity.

Speaking during the Tafsir, the Chief Imam of Odo-Egiri Central Mosque, Alhaji Mohammed Jamiu Tajudeen, urged Muslims to do everything humanly and Islamically right to seek the pleasure of Almighty Allah, especially in this sacred season of Ramadan.
“Ramadan is a once-in-a-year spiritual exercise; therefore, I advise my brothers and sisters in Islam to make the most of this season,” he said.
“We should engage in acts that please God and pray fervently throughout this Ramadan. I pray our fasting and Du’a shall be accepted and answered by Almighty Allah.”
He emphasized that the Holy Month offers a unique chance for Muslims to seek forgiveness, intensify prayers, and increase good deeds to earn divine rewards.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Tafsir, Odo-Egiri Kingdom, Mukadam Mohammed Soliu Abdullahi, noted that Ramadan is a period of immense spiritual benefit, especially for those who are generous and mindful of God’s mercy.
“Ramadan provides us with an opportunity to ask for forgiveness of all our sins, forsake them, and engage in acts of generosity, especially for those who are fasting in this period,” he stated.

“We must also do everything possible to get God’s attention now, because the door of Aljanah has been opened since the inception of this Ramadan, and it shall be closed immediately after Ramadan.
So, it is mandatory we fast, pray, and give a lot in this season. I pray we shall all earn rewards of our engagement, insha’Allah.”
