Residents of Eredo Local Council Development Area have been strongly reminded to treat the upcoming environmental sanitation exercise as a serious civic responsibility, rather than a time for leisure or recreational activities.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the council emphasized that the sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday, 25th between 6:30am and 8:30am is strictly dedicated to environmental cleaning and not for street football or any form of sporting engagement.

According to the directive, all residents are expected to actively participate by cleaning their surroundings, clearing drainage channels, removing waste, and ensuring proper disposal of refuse within their communities.
Authorities noted that such collective efforts are critical to maintaining a safe, healthy, and hygienic environment, especially as Lagos continues to intensify its environmental sanitation drive.
The council further stressed that a clean community is not achieved by chance but through consistent discipline, cooperation, and shared responsibility among residents.
Residents have therefore been urged to make good use of the sanitation period, comply with guidelines, and contribute meaningfully to the overall cleanliness of the area.
The message reinforces the commitment of Eredo Local Council Development Area to promoting environmental sustainability and ensuring that all communities remain clean, safe, and habitable.
