EDITOR’S PICKS
Leading the group of returning lawmakers is Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency. Faleke, who has been in the House since 2011, is seeking a fifth term.
Faleke currently chairs the House Committee on Finance, one of the most influential committee positions in the National Assembly. He is also a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the highest decision-making body in the Lagos APC, making him one of the most connected lawmakers in the state’s political structure.

Also returning is Hon. Wale Raji of Epe Federal Constituency. Raji has represented Epe since 2015 and is now going for a fourth term, having made history in 2023 as the first lawmaker to win a third consecutive mandate for the constituency.
He chairs the House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and was recently ranked the second best-performing member of the National Assembly from Lagos State in an assessment by a Lagos-based media outfit.

Hon. Enitan Dolapo Badru, who represents Lagos Island I, is also among those who retained the party’s ticket. Badru is currently serving a third term and will be going for a fourth.
First elected in 2015, he served as Commissioner for Youth and Social Development under the Babatunde Fashola administration and as Special Adviser to former Governor Bola Tinubu before entering the National Assembly. He also serves as the leader of the Lagos caucus in the House of Representatives.
Hon. Jimi Benson of Ikorodu Federal Constituency similarly retained the APC ticket. The three-term lawmaker secured the ticket for a fourth term, defeating his sole challenger in a direct primary election across the 19 political wards in the constituency.

Benson currently chairs the House Committee on Defence and is widely regarded as one of the most active legislators from Lagos.
The eight other returning members are Hon. Alli Adeyemi (Mushin I), Hon. Fayinka Moses (Mushin II), Hon. Laguda Fuad (Surulere I), Hon. Okunola Lanre (Surulere II), Hon. Olabinjo Benjamin (Ifako Ijaiye), Hon. Kalejaiye Paul (Ajeromi Ifelodun), Hon. Kayode Akiolu (Lagos Island II), and Hon. Bayo Balogun (Ibeju Lekki).
