Hardship: Kaduna Residents Dare Tinubu, Gov Sani, Defy Curfew to Resume Protest

Protesters in Kaduna State have defied a 24-hour curfew for the sixth consecutive day, taking to the streets to voice their frustrations over hunger and economic hardship.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that despite the curfew imposed by state authorities to quell the unrest, large crowds gathered across various parts of the state on Tuesday, August 6, demanding immediate government action to address their grievances.

The protesters, who have been demonstrating since last week, are calling for urgent measures to alleviate the region’s widespread poverty and food insecurity. Chanting slogans and carrying placards, they expressed their dissatisfaction with the current administration’s handling of the economic crisis.

Local residents report that the protests have disrupted daily activities, with many businesses remaining closed and public transportation services halted. Security forces have been deployed in significant numbers to manage the situation and prevent potential violence.
