High Chief Saheed Adedeji Adenusi has been celebrated at a colourful 60th birthday and retirement ceremony held at the Olget Training Hall, GRA Ikeja, Lagos State, where family members, traditional leaders, Islamic clerics, colleagues and well-wishers gathered to honour his years of service and impact.

The programme commenced with prayers led by Islamic clerics who offered gratitude to Almighty Allah for preserving the life of the celebrant and granting everyone present the opportunity to witness the occasion.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the celebrant’s professional profile by Mr. Musibau Jimoh, which traced his journey from his early education to his rise as Director of Human Resources in the Office of Local Government Establishments, Training and Pensions.

Speaking during an interview session, the Grand Chief Imam of Epe Land, Alhaji Abdulkabir Oriyomi Samradeen, described High Chief Adenusi as a devoted Muslim who embodies strong Islamic values and the moral teachings of his upbringing.
He praised his years of service and urged public servants to remain committed and diligent, noting that consistent hard work eventually yields meaningful rewards. He also offered prayers for continued blessings upon the celebrant.
Also speaking, the Onisa of Epe Land, Oloye Waheed Korede Alaolu, described Adenusi as one of the most humble, gentle and hardworking chiefs in Epe.
He said the celebrant’s discipline, loyalty and integrity were evident long before he attained his current status, adding that younger civil servants should emulate his example in both character and service.
From the family perspective, Olori Adeshola Morayo Adenusi described her husband as caring, supportive and dependable. She expressed gratitude for his role in the family and prayed for good health, peace and fulfilment as he transitions into retirement.

His Royal Majesty, Adeyemi Adeniyi, the Onishabe of Igbobishabe in Yaba LCDA, also commended the celebrant, describing him as a respected chief and family man whose contributions to society remain worthy of recognition and emulation.
In the same vein, Mrs. Toyin Ogunlanu, Permanent Secretary, Office of Local Government Establishments, Training and Pensions, praised his professionalism and humility, noting that his dedication to duty made him an outstanding colleague throughout his career.
As formal proceedings ended, the atmosphere shifted into celebration, with music, laughter, photographs and lively interactions as guests continued to honour the celebrant’s life and achievements.
The ceremony marked a dual milestone: his 60th birthday and retirement from public service, celebrating a legacy defined by discipline, humility and impactful service.
