As part of the support initiative, the LSSTF donated 50 bulletproof vests and 50 ballistic helmets each to the three security formations.
The security equipment was received by Brigadier General Ayokunle Olufemi Owolabi of the 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu of NNS Beecroft and Air Commodore Mohammed Imam of the 651 Base Services Group.
Speaking during the presentation, Ogunsan stressed the importance of security to economic growth, peace and development, noting that the safety of lives and property remains a shared responsibility among government institutions, citizens and security stakeholders.

He commended the armed forces for their sacrifices and dedication towards maintaining peace and stability in Lagos and other parts of the country.
According to him, the LSSTF would continue to provide necessary support required to sustain effective security operations within the state.
“Whatever it requires to ensure that Lagos stays safe, we will continue to provide that support accordingly,” Ogunsan stated.
He also disclosed that the new LSSTF office complex, expected to be completed in October, would further improve coordination and collaboration with security agencies.
Ogunsan explained that the facility would serve as an additional operational base for the armed forces and other security agencies operating in Lagos.
He added that requests submitted through the Lagos State Security Council and other operational channels would continue to receive prompt attention from the Fund.
Responding on behalf of the service commanders, Brigadier General Owolabi appreciated the Lagos State Government and the LSSTF for their continuous support to the military and other security agencies.
He described the donation as timely and beneficial to ongoing operations, assuring residents that the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force would continue to work together to strengthen security and maintain peace across Lagos State and beyond.
