Manchester United Edge Bodo/Glimt 3-2 In Europa League
Manchester United marked Ruben Amorim’s Old Trafford debut with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League, showcasing both attacking brilliance and defensive vulnerabilities.
Amorim’s team wasted no time, taking the lead in just 48 seconds thanks to a calamitous error from goalkeeper Nikita Haikin.

The Bodo/Glimt shot-stopper hesitated on a routine clearance, allowing Rasmus Højlund to close him down and set up Alejandro Garnacho for an easy finish.
However, the early goal failed to spark smooth sailing for United. Bodo/Glimt stunned the home crowd by scoring twice in four minutes, flipping the script and leaving the Red Devils trailing after just 25 minutes.
United rallied before halftime, with Højlund delivering an emphatic equalizer to cap off a sweeping move, much to the delight of Amorim on the touchline.
The Danish striker proved decisive again early in the second half, converting Manuel Ugarte’s pinpoint cross from close range to secure the lead.

While the win boosts United’s Europa League hopes, Amorim will be concerned by the missed opportunities that left the game in the balance. Garnacho squandered two clear chances, including one when better-placed teammates were ignored, and Marcus Rashford fired wide after coming off the bench.
Despite a nervy finale, United held firm to secure Amorim’s first win since his arrival from Sporting earlier this month, strengthening their position for automatic qualification to the Europa League round of 16.
