The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has expressed grief over the tragic death of six-year-old Amna Ayomide Bennett in Canada.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued by the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit of the commission, Abdul-Rahman Balogun, the young girl was reported to have died after falling from a 28th-floor apartment building located at 200 Chalkfarm Drive in Canada.

The heartbreaking incident has reportedly left the child’s family, friends and members of the Nigerian community in Canada devastated.
Reacting to the tragedy, Dabiri-Erewa described the incident as deeply painful and heartbreaking, noting that no parent should have to endure the pain of losing a child under such tragic circumstances.

She described the late Ayomide as a bright and promising child whose life was cut short too soon.
The NiDCOM boss also extended her condolences to the bereaved family and the Nigerian diaspora community in Canada, while praying for strength, comfort and peace for everyone affected by the loss.
She further urged Nigerians living abroad to continue supporting the family with prayers, compassion and solidarity during the difficult period.
