NUT Epe Honors Rep. Wale Raji for Supporting Education on World Teachers’ Day
Ekohotblog reports that the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Epe Local Government Chapter, has honored Hon. Wale Raji, the Member representing Epe Federal Constituency, with a special award during the 2024 World Teachers’ Day celebration.
The event, held at the NUT Multipurpose Hall in Epe, celebrated the outstanding contributions of Hon. Wale Raji to the growth of education in the community.

Although Rep. Wale Raji was unable to attend in person, he sent a representative, Mr. Olusanya Ganiyu, Vice Principal of Temu Senior Community High School, to receive the award on his behalf.
In his speech, Mr. Ganiyu praised Hon. Raji for his dedication to supporting schools and students in Epe. He highlighted several projects led by Hon. Raji, including the renovation of schools, construction of new classrooms, provision of learning materials, and scholarships for students.
“Hon. Wale Raji has set a new standard for educational development in Epe,” Mr. Ganiyu stated. “His passion and commitment to youth education are unmatched. No one has done as much as he has for our schools.”
He explained that these initiatives have improved the quality of education in Epe and motivated both teachers and students to excel.
“His contributions have made Epe one of the best communities in terms of education,” Mr. Ganiyu added. He encouraged the youth of Epe to fully utilize the opportunities provided by Rep. Raji.
“I urge our youth to take advantage of these opportunities. Let’s use them to build a brighter future and make Epe a place others can admire,” he said.
The World Teachers’ Day event, held every year on October 5th, featured speeches, awards, and discussions. It was an opportunity for the community to appreciate the hard work of teachers and recognize the positive changes in education.
NUT Chairman, Mr. Sanni Shakirudeen, also commended Hon. Wale Raji’s efforts. “This award is well-deserved. Hon. Raji has demonstrated his genuine concern for education and values the role of teachers in shaping the future. We hope other leaders will follow his example,” he remarked.
The event concluded with cheers and applause as teachers, students, and community members celebrated Hon. Raji’s contributions and the dedication of all teachers in Epe.
