While he did not disclose the name of the platform, sources close to the development indicated that both leaders are finalising plans to align with a newly formed party known as the Nigeria Democratic Congress, reportedly linked to former Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson.
A source familiar with the discussions said the two politicians and their associates had been engaging with party leaders to complete necessary documentation ahead of the planned announcement.

The move follows weeks of speculation over the political direction of both men, particularly amid internal challenges within existing opposition parties and recent legal developments affecting party structures.
Galadima warned supporters to expect criticism and coordinated attacks once the new platform is made public, urging them to be prepared to respond, especially on social media and in public discourse.
He advised supporters to remain measured but firm in defending their leaders, stressing that responses should be strategic rather than reactive.
The NNPP chieftain also alleged that opposition figures have faced sustained pressure, claiming that political forces have sought to weaken alternative platforms across the country.
He listed several parties, including the Social Democratic Party and the Peoples Democratic Party, among those he said had been affected by internal disruptions.

According to him, the political climate could become more tense as the 2027 elections approach, warning that heightened competition may trigger further actions against opposition leaders.
Also speaking at the event, Isaac Fayose expressed support for the emerging alliance, describing it as a credible alternative capable of attracting widespread backing across the country.
Similarly, activist Aisha Yesufu called for unity among Nigerians, urging citizens to move beyond ethnic and regional divisions and focus on building a more inclusive and functional nation.
She emphasised the need for collective action and responsibility, noting that national progress depends on cooperation across all segments of society.
The anticipated announcement is expected to shape the opposition landscape as political alignments continue to evolve ahead of the next general elections.
