  1. Labista.

This is one of the most thrilling action movies Nollywood has ever produced. The Labista series were among the first Nigerian movies that incorporated a lot of action back in the 2000s, and the films were the bedrock upon which a handful of actors rose to stardom. The movie featured Emmanuel Ehumadu, who played the lead role, Leo Mezie, the late JT Tom West, and the late Ernest Asuzu. It was produced by Amos Onwe, and directed by Ifeanyi Onyeabor.

  1. Broad Day Light.

Broad Day Light was one of the most thrilling movies of 2001, full of action and suspense. It was directed by the talented Teco Benson, and featured some of the big names in the industry then – Hanks Anuku, Gentle Jack, Enebeli Elebuwa, Bimbo Manuel, Ernest Asuzu, and several other big names.

  1. Formidable Force.

In 2002, Ernest Asuzu returned in another big film that year titled Formidable Force. For those who have followed Nollywood right from its booming years, this movie is one that will never be forgotten in a hurry, not just because the makers of the movie returned with some of the biggest names in the industry then, but the actors on their part did not fail to deliver on the job.

Also directed by Teco Benson, the movie featured one of Nollywood’s most sought after bad boys then, Hanks Anuku, the ever amiable Genevieve Nnaji, Ayo Emmanuel, Pastor West, and the late Ernest Asuzu.

  1. Accidental Discharge.

It seems Teco Benson really had a predilection for working with these guys, and the reasons are not farfetched, because each movie featuring these guys were big-time hits immediately they got to the public. Accidental Discharge was one of the biggest movies of 2003, and once again, the makers brought together Hanks Anuku to work with Ernest Asuzu. Rita Dominic was also brought into the mix, alongside Robert Peters and Young Ujah.

  1. Last Wedding.

Who would ever forget Last Wedding, one of the most interesting movies Nollywood has ever produced? The story which was written by Gabriel Moses, and screenplayed by Tai Emeka Obasi, was one of the biggest jobs that Dickson Iroegbu has ever directed.

Produced in 2004, the movie brought together some of the biggest names in the industry then – Ramsey Nouah, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Joke Silva, Enebeli Elebuwa, Obot Etuk, Angela Philips, Grace Amah, Rita Dominic, Bimbo Akintola, Stella Orji, Ernest Asuzu, and several other good actors.

  1. Ògìdán.

2004 was obviously a big year for Ernest Asuzu because of the kind of movies he made that year. That year he was on the set of another hit movie titled “Ògìdán.” Written by Kolade Alabi, and directed by Simi Opeoluwa, the movie once again brought Hanks Anuku and Ernest Asuzu together on set.

The movie also featured the screen goddess Lilian Bach. Others notable names that featured in the movie include – Bimbo Manuel, Enebeli Elebuwa, Femi Ogedengbe, Alex Usifo, Kelvin Ikeduba, Lanre Hassan, Clarion Chukwura, and several others.

  1. Chain Reaction.

Produced in 1999, and directed by Ndubuisi Okoh, the movie featured Ernest Asuzu, Liz Benson, Pete Edochie, Rita Edochie, and others, Onyeka Onwenu, etc.

  1. Royal War.

In 2009, Ernest Asuzu returned in another big movie titled Royal War. Written by Ugezu J. Ugezu, and directed by Prince Emeka Ani, other people that starred in the movie included Van Vicker, Enebeli Elebuwa, Ini Edo, Rita Arum, Ugezu J. Ugezu, Rachael Okonkwo, Eve Esin, Tessy Oragwa, and several other stars.

  1. Burning Desire.

Produced in 2004, the thrilling drama was directed by one of Nollywood’s top directors then Dickson Iroegbu. The movie featured Ernest Asuzu, Stella Damascus, Enebeli Elebuwa, Richard Mofe Damijo, Mike Ezuruonye, Robert Peters, etc.

  1. Power of Trust.

One of the movies which we will always remember Ernest for is Power of Trust. It was produced in 2004, and was directed by Henry Czar Ejeta. Apart from Ernest Asuzu, other stars that featured in the movie include – Desmond Elliot, Ebube Nwagbo, Ashley Nwosu, Florence Onuma, and Doreen Oyesanya.
