Minster of Education, Tunji Alausa on Friday led major education events in Lagos, headlining project unveilings at Yaba College of Technology and Lagos State University as part of a nationwide push to upgrade tertiary institutions.

He said the initiative would expand student accommodation, modernise laboratories, strengthen technical training, and improve campus power supply across universities and polytechnics.
At LASU, discussions focused on the rising cost of energy and infrastructure gaps, with officials revealing that the university spends over ₦200 million monthly on electricity due to unstable grid supply.
Alausa outlined federal plans to address the challenge through dedicated power projects and new hostel developments.
